Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

The Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is an important body established in educational institutions to address and resolve the grievances of students in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner. The committee provides students with a proper platform to express concerns related to academic, administrative, financial, infrastructural, and personal matters. It receives and examines complaints regarding examinations, attendance, scholarships, hostel facilities, harassment, discrimination, and other issues affecting student welfare.

The SGRC conducts impartial inquiries and provides equal opportunity to all concerned parties to present their views. It follows the principles of natural justice while ensuring confidentiality and transparency during the grievance redressal process. The committee recommends suitable corrective measures and monitors the implementation of its decisions for effective resolution of complaints.

The committee also plays a vital role in protecting students from unfair practices, maintaining discipline and harmony on campus, and promoting a student-friendly academic environment. It maintains records of grievances and creates awareness among students about the grievance redressal mechanism. By coordinating with other institutional committees and suggesting administrative improvements, the SGRC contributes significantly to institutional accountability, student welfare, and the overall quality of higher education.
